SUMMARY:Exchange Fair Circuit 2024
DESCRIPTION:The Exchange Fair Circuit is a collaborative initiative between Australian universities to encourage more students to study overseas on exchange. \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe National Exchange Fair Circuit returns in 2024\nThe Exchange Fair Circuit is a collaborative initiative between Australian universities to encourage more students to study overseas on exchange. \nIt began in 2004 and aims to leverage off already established institution-based exchange fairs. Collaborating on a national level – and coordinating the timing of individual fairs – greatly enhances the value proposition for international partner institutions travelling to Australia. International partners attend different sections of the circuit each year\, or participate in the whole circuit on alternate years. \nThe Exchange Fair Circuit is now a firmly established part of the annual student mobility calendar in Australia. \nAims\nThe Exchange Fair Circuit aims to: \n\nPromote outbound educational programs to Australian students and increase the level of student participation\nEncourage as many international partners to come to Australia and promote their institutions as exchange destinations\nEncourage other interested stakeholders to promote themselves\, such as the Australian government promoting the OS-HELP loans scheme\nIncrease the visibility and exposure of outbound mobility programs across Australia.\n\nSchedule\nIn 2024\, the Exchange Fair Circuit takes place in March. \nWe extend a warm welcome and invitation to our university partners around the globe to join us in Australia. \n\n\n\nINSTITUTION\nSTATE\nCONTACT\n\n\nMONDAY 11 MARCH 2024\n\n\n\n\nCurtin University\nWestern Australia\nAlison Johnson\nTeam Leader\, International Student Mobility\nAlison.Johnson@curtin.edu.au\n\n\nEdith Cowan University\nWestern Australia\nSimon Davies Burrows\nManager Internationalisation\ns.daviesburrows@ecu.edu.au\n\n\nTUESDAY 12 MARCH 2024\n\n\nUniversity of Western Australia\nWestern Australia\nJeannette Geesmann\nManager\, Global Learning Office\njeannette.geesmann@uwa.edu.au\n\n\nMurdoch University\nWestern Australia\nSerena Baptist\nOutbound Mobility\nserena.baptist@murdoch.edu.au\n\n\n\n\nWEDNESDAY 13 MARCH 2024\n\n\nUniversity of South Australia\nSouth Australia\nKate Toone\nManager: International Recruitment & Mobility\nkate.toone@unisa.edu.au\n\n\nFlinders University\nSouth Australia\nLarissa Pearce\nManager\, Learn Without Borders\nlarissa.pearce@flinders.edu.au\n\n\nTHURSDAY 14 MARCH 2024\n\n\nUniversity of Queensland\nQueensland\nJohan Arnberg\nSenior Manager\nj.arnberg@uq.edu.au\n\n\nQueensland University of Technology\nQueensland\nGemma Brophy\nHead of International Relations\ngemma.brophy@qut.edu.au\n\n\n\n\nFRIDAY 15 MARCH 2024\n\n\nGriffith University\nQueensland Regional\nIan Jeon\nCoordinator\, Global Mobility\ni.jeon@griffith.edu.au\n\n\nBond University\nQueensland Regional\nEl McAdam-Stroza\nStudy Abroad and Exchange Officer\nexchange@bond.edu.au\n\n\n\n\nMONDAY 18 MARCH 2024\n\n\n\n\nUniversity of Tasmania\nTasmania\nPatrick Foley Donoghue\nStudy Abroad & Exchange Coordinator\nfoleyp@utas.edu.au\n\n\nUniversity of New England\nNew South Wales Regional\nIngrid Elliston\nDirector\, International\ningrid.elliston@une.edu.au\n\n\n\n\nTUESDAY 19 MARCH 2024\n\n\n\n\nUniversity of Sydney\nNew South Wales\nFiona White\nHead\, Student Mobility and Exchange\nfiona.w@sydney.edu.au\n\n\nUniversity of Wollongong\nNew South Wales Regional\nAshley Tanks\nExecutive Director (Global)\natanks@uow.edu.au\n\n\n\n\nWEDNESDAY 20 MARCH 2024\n\n\n\n\nUniversity of Technology Sydney\nNew South Wales\nKartika Paksi\nManager\, Global Mobility Programs\nkartika.paksi@uts.edu.au\n\n\nWestern Sydney University\nNew South Wales\nErin Hilaire\nManager\, Learning Abroad\ne.hilaire@westernsydney.edu.au\n\n\n\n\nTHURSDAY 21 MARCH 2024\n\n\n\n\nUNSW\nNew South Wales\nAnna Martin\nLead\, Learning Abroad Exchange\nanna.martin@unsw.edu.au\n\n\nMacquarie University\nNew South Wales\nPauline Le Floch\nStudent Mobility Manager\npauline.lefloch@mq.edu.au\n\n\n\n\nFRIDAY 22 MARCH 2024\n\n\n\n\nAustralian National University\nAustralian Capital Territory\nLyndon Iles\nManager\, Global Programs\nLyndon.Iles@anu.edu.au\n\n\nUniversity of Canberra\nAustralian Capital Territory\nChantal Lapasciuc\nManager\, Global Learning and Scholarships\nChantal.Lapasciuc@canberra.edu.au\n\n\nLa Trobe University\nVictoria\nRuth DelagasSenior Manager\, Learning Abroad\nR.Delagas@latrobe.edu.au\n\n\nAustralian Catholic University\nVictoria\nAmy Ryan\nManager\, Exchange and Study Abroad\namy.ryan@acu.edu.au\n\n\n\n\nMONDAY 25 MARCH 2024\n\n\n\n\nRMIT University\nVictoria\nEmma Pitt\nManager\, Global Experience\nGlobal.Experience@rmit.edu.au\n\n\nSwinburne University of Technology\nVictoria\nStewart Collins\nAssociate Director\, Global Mobility\nsjcollins@swin.edu.au\n\n\nTUESDAY 26 MARCH 2024\n\n\nUniversity of Melbourne\nVictoria\nLinda Rust\nManager\, Global Learning\nlinda.rust@unimelb.edu.au\n\n\nDeakin University\nVictoria\nSean Walsh\nStudy Abroad Coordinator sean.walsh@deakin.edu.au\n\n\n\n\nWEDNESDAY 27 MARCH 2024\n\n\n\n\nMonash University\nVictoria\nStuart Hibberd\nProgram Manager\, Learning Abroad\nStuart.Hibberd@monash.edu\n\n\nVictoria University\nVictoria\nAndrew Ross\nCoordinator\nAndrew.ross@vu.edu.au\n\n\n\nHow does it work?\nEach participating university nominates a day\, or several days\, over which they will hold their fair. Universities in the same states are encouraged to hold their fairs in the same period\, usually over the same week\, to enable partners to travel easily between events. \nEach university invites their international partners to attend. International partners then choose their own route around Australia\, depending on their individual partner relationships. \nInstitutions may organise their event differently\, but each Exchange Fair generally involves a day where staff and students from visiting partner institutions speak to local students interested in undertaking exchange at an overseas university. \nRepresentatives from commercial organisations\, foreign government diplomatic missions\, Australian government representatives are also invited to participate and promote their higher education initiatives – such as the OS-HELP loan scheme for exchange students. \nWho is involved?\nFor international partners\, this is the ultimate chance to visit your Australian exchange partners’ campuses\, meet their staff\, meet their students and promote your institution. \nFor universities\, the Exchange Fair Circuit is a great opportunity to host your exchange partners and promote the exchange opportunities that are open to your students. \n\nAnyone with an exchange partnership with an Australian university\nAustralian government agencies associated with higher education\nForeign government diplomatic missions and higher education organisations\nStakeholders at each Australian campus\nSponsors of the Exchange Fair Circuit.
