ILSC Education Group has officially entered the European market with the acquisition of Berlitz Dublin, marking a major milestone in its global expansion. The move brings one of Ireland’s most respected English language schools under the ILSC banner and further strengthens the group’s mission to provide transformative language education experiences around the world.

Dublin, long celebrated as one of the top five global English language learning destinations, becomes the latest addition to ILSC’s international portfolio, which spans Australia, Canada, the USA, India, and now Ireland.

“Dublin is bursting with energy, culture, and opportunity—it’s one of the most exciting places in the world to learn English right now,” said ILSC Education Group CEO Christopher Mediratta. “We’re incredibly excited to bring this dynamic city into our global network and build on the momentum created by Mark and his talented team at Berlitz Dublin.”

Located in the historic Liberties neighbourhood in Dublin 8—an area known for its traditional pubs, weekend markets, and vibrant cultural life—Berlitz Dublin has earned a reputation for delivering high-quality English language education. The school offers general English programs, global leadership training, and online courses through the wider Berlitz language suite.

The acquisition signals more than just geographic expansion; it brings new learning opportunities. ILSC will introduce a range of its signature General English elective classes for students beginning January 2026. While the school will transition to the ILSC brand in the coming months, the Berlitz name will continue to operate at the Liberties campus for corporate training programs.

“Joining ILSC Education Group is a fantastic opportunity for our school, our staff, and our students,” said Mark Harrington, Managing Director of Berlitz Dublin. “We’re proud of what we’ve built in Dublin, and we’re excited to combine our strengths with ILSC’s global reach and innovative approach to language education. This partnership also allows us to expand our long-standing expertise in corporate training into a broader international context.”

ILSC Education Group now operates 23 language schools (on-campus and online), eight career colleges, and a growing higher education division. It is home to brands such as ELS Educational Services, Greystone College, and ILSC HELLO/ALLO online learning platforms. The group offers English, French, and Hindi instruction, as well as vocational training in business, hospitality, digital marketing, and more.

Founded in 1878, Berlitz is globally recognised for pioneering the immersive “Berlitz Method” and has remained a leader in language instruction for over 140 years.

With this new addition, ILSC continues to cement its place as a leader in global education—helping students connect language learning with their passions, goals, and future careers.
