A range of global and local student and graduate survey results have been released recently.

UniSc alerted the Koala to the latest QILT student experience results where they topped the list of the 37 public Australian universities for postgraduate coursework student experience. Further information regarding their success is provided in their media release.

While Overall Education Experience has been relatively steady over the last 6 years, apart from a dip during the COVID pandemic, international undergraduate and postgraduate students have not rated their experiences as strongly as domestic students.

The Graduate Outcomes Survey, released at the same time, shows UniSC salaries are in the country’s top six for postgraduate coursework graduates.

The survey highlights across all undergraduate and postgraduate coursework graduates, domestic students have achieved much higher rates of full-time employment and salaries than international students living either in Australia or overseas. However, for postgraduate research graduates living overseas, they have outperformed domestic students (except for 2023) and international students living in Australia for full-time rates of employment.

The Employee Satisfaction Survey, also released at the same time measures performance across six skills: Foundation, Adaptive, Collaborative, Technical, Employability and Overall Satisfaction, shows UniSC performing above the national average for foundation skills, adaptive skills, collaborative skills, technical skills and overall satisfaction.

Across all graduates, international students have outperformed their domestic counterparts on every skill except for Adaptive.

There is a depth of information in these surveys for providers, employers and governments to align on to improve teaching, learning and graduate outcomes. Enjoy exploring the data from the links provided.
