Applications for funding through the Victorian Government’s Study Melbourne Inclusion Program (SMIP) are now open. The SMIP provides funding for activities that support and promote the wellbeing of international students and enhance their experience living in Victoria.

An information session for prospective applicants will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, 8 October from 10.00am-11.00am at the Study Melbourne Hub, 17 Hardware Lane, Melbourne. It will cover the program objectives, eligibility and assessment criteria, and Q&A.

Grants of up to $30,000 will be available in 2026 for partnerships of two or more organisations to deliver activities that support and promote the wellbeing of international students in Victoria.

A minimum co-contribution of at least half of the value of the requested funding is a requirement for all SMIP funding applications.

The SMIP is part of the Victoria’s International Education Recovery Plan 2025 to support the sector’s post pandemic recovery with funding of $52.9m through to 2025.

More information about the SMIP, including the program guidelines are available here.

You can read about the successful 2025 projects in The Koala News (230425).
