The Quad Fellowship sponsors master’s and doctoral students to study science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in the United States, uniquely supported by four national governments.
The fellowship, initiated by governments of Australia, India, Japan, and the United States, and administered by Institute of International Education, sponsors students to study STEM in the United States.
Applications for this second cohort of the Quad Fellowship are open for students who demonstrating academic excellence, exceptional results in and contributions to their field, and a desire to generate impact through STEM that delivers social benefit.
The fellowship opens up a network of science and technology experts committed to advancing innovation and collaboration in the private, public, and academic sectors, for fellows to collaborate with in their own nations and among other Quad countries. It builds a foundational understanding among Quad Fellows of each another’s societies and cultures through this ecosystem of top scientists, technologists, and politicians.
The Quad Fellowship builds ties among future scientists and technologists through financial support, cross-cultural exchange, and networking, including:
- A stipend of US $40,000 for academic expenses.
- Networking opportunities with sectoral leaders in STEM, government, and society.
- Access to a multicultural alumni network dedicated to advancing innovation and research for positive social impact.
The reach of Quad Fellowship is expanding – with applications open to candidates from the Quad countries and now also from the ten ASEAN countries of Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Fellows are supported by the Quad governments and a group of industry-leading corporate and civil society sponsors with track records of driving innovation and technological advancement, including, among others; Google, Boeing, Blackstone and Accenture.
