The Western Australian export award winners were announced recently with the Engineering Institute of Technology (EIT) taking out the International Education category.

The awards, which were revealed on 19 September at the Export Awards 2024 gala dinner, celebrated the achievements of Western Australian businesses making significant impacts in global markets.

Now in its 62nd year, this is one of Australia’s most prestigious and longest-running business awards programs. It recognizes the outstanding contributions of local companies across 13 diverse categories.

This is EIT’s 4th win at the awards and underscores the institute’s commitment to delivering high-quality education and training in engineering to students worldwide, while being based in WA.

“We are immensely proud to have been recognized for our work in international education and training and I thank every one of my colleagues for their commitment to our students”, said Dr. Steve Mackay, the Dean of Engineering at EIT.

“This achievement reflects our dedication to fostering global engineering talent and providing our graduates with the skills necessary for success in a competitive job market.”

Founded in 2008, the Engineering Institute of Technology has rapidly established itself as a leader in engineering education and training. With a focus on practical, industry-relevant topics, EIT offers a range of short courses and accredited qualifications in engineering disciplines designed to meet the evolving needs of the global workforce.

EIT’s programs are delivered online as well as on-campus in three locations across Australia (Perth, Melbourne, and Brisbane) using EIT’s innovative and unique blended learning delivery model. This makes the programs accessible to students around the world, regardless of their location.

EIT prides itself on its strong industry connections and curricula developed in collaboration with professionals from various engineering sectors. To further prepare them for industry, students access virtual and remote labs, which are connected to real equipment. The institute’s commitment to excellence has resulted in a diverse and engaged international student community, enhancing the learning experience for all.
