Greenwich College is marking its 20th anniversary, celebrating two decades of growth, innovation, and achievement in international education.

What began in 2005 as a small English language school with just six classrooms in Sydney has evolved into one of Australia’s leading private education providers. Today, Greenwich operates campuses in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and the Gold Coast, welcoming more than 8,000 students from over 50 countries each year. Since its founding, more than 117,000 international students have studied English language and vocational programs at Greenwich, contributing to Australia’s global reputation as a world-class education destination.

Over the years, Greenwich has broadened its scope from English language training to a diverse suite of vocational programs in hospitality, healthcare, early childhood education, IT, business, leadership, project management, and marketing.

In 2024, the College introduced nationally accredited courses in e-commerce and marketing automation—among the first of their kind in Australia—helping students develop the skills needed to thrive in the digital economy.

Looking ahead, 2026 will mark Greenwich’s entry into higher education, with Bachelor programs in IT, Game Design and 3D Animation to be launched in collaboration with the Academy of Information Technology (AIT), also part of the NextEd Group.

For Roxana Ene, General Manager of Greenwich College, the milestone holds personal significance. “From being a TESOL Greenwich student myself to now serving as General Manager, I have seen firsthand how transformative this institution can be,” she said. “Greenwich has always been about creating opportunities and pathways for students—and that mission is stronger than ever as we enter our third decade.”

Mark Kehoe, CEO of NextEd Group, highlighted Greenwich’s role in shaping international education in Australia. “Over the past 20 years, Greenwich has grown from a single English school into a multi-campus provider educating more than 117,000 students from around the world,” Kehoe said. “Our focus on quality teaching, strong student outcomes, and strategic growth has positioned us as a significant contributor to Australia’s international education sector.”

To commemorate the milestone, Greenwich hosted celebrations in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, attended by more than 250 guests including partners from Study NSW, Austrade, education agents, and accommodation providers. The events recognised two decades of student success while spotlighting new programs and the College’s expansion into higher education.

As Greenwich looks ahead to the next chapter, its focus remains clear—expanding pathways, deepening industry connections, and preparing the next generation of skilled professionals for a rapidly changing world.

The Koala congratulates Greenwich on this milestone.
