Australian students eyeing Harvard, Yale, Stanford, or other Ivy League and top-tier US universities will have a rare opportunity this September to hear directly from a former Harvard Admissions Officer.

Devery Doran, a counsellor with The Princeton Review is widely regarded as an expert on US college admissions, will tour Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide from 4–8 September 2025.

Doran will host interactive sessions for students, parents, and school career advisors, offering candid insights into what highly selective US universities are really looking for.

“Australian students are bright, ambitious, and globally minded — but gaining admission to schools like Harvard, Yale or Stanford requires more than outstanding grades,” Doran said ahead of her visit. “Strategy, compelling personal storytelling, and a deep understanding of the inner workings of the admissions office are essential for success.”

The tour is being hosted by The Princeton Review Australia, which said Doran’s visit gives families unprecedented access to insider advice.

“Having Devery in Australia is an extraordinary opportunity,” said Teddy Hsiung, CEO of The Princeton Review Australia. “Her insight into the competitive landscape of US university admissions is unparalleled, and this tour gives Australian families a rare advantage in understanding how to stand out and succeed on the global stage.”

Sessions will be tailored to high-achieving students from Australia’s most competitive education communities, underscoring the growing demand for personalised admissions guidance and preparation for elite US universities.

How to attend:

  • Sydney (4 Sept): Register here. One-on-one sessions with Devery in Sydney on 6th and 7th September can be booked here.
