Know an international student or graduate who is making a real contribution in Victoria? Encourage them to apply for the Victorian International Education Awards 2026.
Presented by Study Melbourne, the awards recognise international students and graduates across categories including higher education, research, VET, English language, regional education, entrepreneurship and alumni leadership.
With much of the policy discussion currently centred on migration numbers and visa settings, the awards offer a timely reminder of the impact international students continue to have in Victorian communities.
One notable change this year is that the program is focused entirely on students and graduates, with no industry categories included in 2026.
Winners in each student category will receive $3,000 to support their studies and professional development, while the Premier’s Award – International Student of the Year winner will receive an additional $5,000.
