The ILSC Education Group have announced a partnership with Trinity College London to bring the globally recognised Trinity CertTESOL to Australia – a national first.
“The Trinity CertTESOL is the gold standard in English teaching qualifications and is designed for people with little or no experience of teaching English, or for those who require an internationally recognised teacher education qualification,” said Lucas Chiusoli, the National Director, ELICOS & Higher Education Pathways.
“We are very proud to launch the ILSC Australia Teacher Training Centre, and are keen to contribute to the regrowth of our sector by encouraging and enabling more people to join the exciting and rewarding career as ELT teachers.” He said.
Rightly so. The ELICOS sector has rebounded well from the pandemic, so much so the need for teachers is now greater than ever.
Brett Blacker, CEO of English Australia says the issue is real. “The ELICOS sector was hardest hit by the closure of the international borders which resulted in a significant loss of our workforce. However, with year-to-date student commencements now exceeding pre-pandemic levels there is a significant need for newly qualified teachers to support the rebound.”
One person who is particularly proud of the new partnership is Grace Fannon, Director of Studies at ILSC Sydney. She studied a Trinity CertTESOL herself saying “Having started my own ELT career journey through the completion of the Trinity CertTESOL and having it spark my passion for the sector, it is incredibly exciting for ILSC to bring this premium course to the Australian market and train a new generation of ELT teachers to become confident, competent and qualified ELT professionals.”
The course has received NEAS Australia Premium Product Endorsement, and ILSC Australia is now also listed as a NEAS Australia Endorsed ELT Qualification Provider.
