The Gold Coast is rolling out the welcome mat with a fresh round of financial support for incoming international students. Phase 2 of the Gold Coast New Student Grants has launched, offering 100 grants worth $1,000 each to help new students settle into life on Australia’s sunny coastline.

Opening today (6 August) to 31 October 2025, the grant aims to ease the early costs of relocation—covering everything from textbooks and housing to daily essentials—while helping students feel supported from day one.

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be new to Australia and commencing studies between 11 August 2025 and 31 March 2026,
  • Hold or have lodged a valid Student Visa (subclass 500),
  • Be enrolled at an Experience Gold Coast Education Member Institution for at least 24 academic weeks.

Students already in Australia or currently studying at other institutions are not eligible. The offer is limited to the first 100 qualified applicants, so early applications are encouraged.

This initiative is part of the city’s broader commitment to making the Gold Coast a top-tier destination for international education—combining world-class learning with a vibrant lifestyle.
