ILSC Education Group and ELS Language Centres have announced a major learning upgrade, partnering with National Geographic Learning to bring globally inspired content and new digital tools into classrooms across their international networks.
Under the refreshed agreement, ELS will introduce updated National Geographic Learning English textbooks, along with expanded access to the interactive Spark digital platform, beginning November 2025. Chris Wallett, Director of Academic Affairs at ELS, said the renewed partnership reflects their ongoing commitment to student engagement: “We’re thrilled to renew our agreement with National Geographic Learning… Their stories, images, and themes engage students in meaningful ways, motivating them to learn and preparing them with the skills they need to succeed academically, professionally, and personally.”
ILSC students will experience National Geographic Learning content from January 2026, with the resources becoming core components of the organisation’s English Foundation, English Communication, and English for Academic Purposes programs. Cheryl House, Global Language Curriculum Director at ILSC, said the shift aligns with ILSC’s mission to deliver highly immersive, real-world learning: “Our collaboration with National Geographic Learning brings authentic, globally relevant content into the classroom, helping students build not just language skills, but also a deeper understanding of the world around them.”
The rollout brings several enhancements across both organisations, including:
- Dual access to print and digital resources: students receive both a physical textbook and Spark access.
- Integrated video, audio and interactive activities within Spark’s digital books.
- Mobile-friendly design, allowing learning anytime, anywhere.
- Enhanced instructor tools for tracking student progress and identifying support needs.
- National Geographic stories and photography to connect language learning with real people, places, and global issues.
ILSC and ELS say the shift reinforces their commitment to flexible, student-centred learning experiences enriched by world-class content and digital innovation.
