LanguageCert is celebrating strong momentum in Australia and New Zealand, with its newly launched Academic English test gaining recognition from a growing list of institutions and a strategic appointment set to accelerate its regional growth.
Since its official launch in August, LanguageCert has taken centre stage at major sector gatherings, including the English Australia Conference in Brisbane and the ITENZ Conference in Queenstown. At these events, Dr Patrick Pheasant, Head of Education Partnerships for Australia and New Zealand, led discussions on responsible test use and the “human side” of assessment.
More than a dozen institutions have already endorsed the test for admissions and migration purposes, including Macquarie University, Kaplan Business School, TAFE International Western Australia and Greenwich College, reflecting strong early adoption.
To support its rapid expansion, LanguageCert has appointed Angela O’Sullivan as Head of Business Development for Oceania and East Asia. O’Sullivan, previously with ETS TOEFL, will begin on September 15, with a mandate to strengthen partnerships and meet growing demand across the region.
The company will continue its rollout with events in Christchurch and Auckland, highlighting its “human-centric” approach to assessment. With faster results, accessible testing and a speaking component that prioritises real interaction, LanguageCert is positioning itself as a student-friendly alternative in the competitive language testing market.
