The Council for International Students of Western Australia (CISWA) has announced that nominations are now open for the 2025 CISWA Awards, marking the eleventh year of recognising outstanding contributions to international education across the state.
The annual awards celebrate the achievements of international students, education professionals, and initiatives that enhance the wellbeing, success, and reputation of Western Australia’s international education sector.
Spanning schools, vocational education and training (VET), and higher education, the six award categories include:

WA International Education Initiative of the Year – Schools

WA International Tertiary Student of the Year

WA International VET Student of the Year

WA International Education Program of the Year

Outstanding Individual Contribution to International Education
Now in their second decade, the CISWA Awards have become a highlight of the Western Australian international education calendar, shining a light on the individuals and programs that create lasting impact for students and communities alike.
A previous recipient described the experience as “a rare opportunity to recognise the resilience, dedication, and unique contributions international students bring to Western Australia.” Another noted that winning a CISWA Award “amplified my voice in the sector, opened doors for collaboration, and strengthened my commitment to supporting international students.”
Past winners have reported professional and personal benefits, including greater visibility, sector engagement, and opportunities to influence positive change.
