Beyond that, they showcase institutions, profile a state and nation and demonstrate the impact of education and knowledge generation on industry and communities locally and globally.
Let’s face it, the world needs good news stories. So, the opportunity to showcase inspiring folk should be celebrated.
TAFE SA has students from over 70 nations. With a Strategic Plan imminent, the institution embraces ‘international’, through key student ambassador programs aligned to State Government initiatives, global industry connectivity, exemplary student support services and alignment to international development programs.
The 2023 TAFE SA Honour Awards don’t have an international student category nor an overtly named international impact award. The ‘international’ is influentially embedded in the selection criteria for all awards.
As a result, the permutations for ‘international’ to be front and centre stage in nominations are endless. Congratulations and thank you TAFE SA.

The 2023 Award categories are as diverse as they are contemporary, leaving space for nominating and recognising the achievements of international graduates in every category. Nominations can also be made into multiple categories.

Selection criteria show an enlightened recognition that ‘international’ is everywhere. There is lots to like about an awards program that generates this inclusivity. With TAFE SA looking for achievements aligned to global engagement, the criteria are;
- Excellence in chosen career path, showcased through quality of work, industry standing and recognition, professional positions, industry memberships and associations.
- Substantial contribution to business and industry, showcased through an excellent work ethic, driving and leading positive change, creativity and innovation, resilience, and cross-sector collaboration.
- Substantial contribution to the local, national, or international community. This may be as part of the nominee’s employment or in a volunteer capacity.
- Outstanding character in alignment with values of inclusion, diversity, and equity.
Nominations don’t simply reward the graduate; they take the skills, capability and knowledge of South Australian industry to the world.
