AAERI, the Association of Australian Education representatives in India, has announced the launch of Digiverifier, a cutting-edge solution for verifying identity and educational documents.
This new service is authorized to access Digilocker’s digital documents, as well as other online college and university verification sites. AAERI members and Australian institutes can now create an account and send verification requests via www.aaeri-verify.com.
In speaking with the President of AAERI, Nishi Bora he says “This development marks a significant advancement in the education sector, particularly for AAERI members and Australian institutions. The collaboration between AAERI and Digiverifier promises to enhance the verification process for educational documents substantially.”
Bora says the benefits include:
Efficiency: Streamlines the document verification process, saving both time and resources.
Accuracy: Ensures the authenticity of documents, significantly reducing the risk of fraud.
Trust: Fosters greater trust among educational institutions and students. Academic credentials verification ensures right students and to grant right scholarship to the genuine students who are getting admitted to the foreign universities.
Compliance: Adheres to legal standards set by the Indian Information Technology Act, 2000.
AAERI is in the process of communicating to all members and Australian institutes about this new verification process with interactive sessions planning to be held between August and September 2024 to demonstrate the new methodology to all stakeholders.
Ravi Lochan Singh of Global Reach, an AAERI member, with Ravi himself being a past President of AAERI says “AAERI had introduced Home Affairs to the Government of India’s Digilocker initiative and how with time all qualifications will be easily verifiable. There was some confusion with the wallet offered by Digilocker where the students and upload documents but as it became clear, these documents don’t automatically get the verified stamp of Digilocker.”
“I foresee that with time no Indian academic qualification will remain unverifiable and this will be a major step in ending fraudulent documents from India. We do hope that Digilocker verified documents will lead to quicker processing of student visas.” He says.
Document verification is an important tool in admissions transparency and here’s hoping this new advancement will continue to weed out those not wanting to play by the rules.
