IDP Education Ltd opened a new office in Auckland, New Zealand this week to support international students and IELTS test takers.

Located in Auckland Central on Victoria Street, the new office will have counsellors on hand to provide course advice, student services and host social activities for students new to the city. It will also serve as an IELTS language testing centre, providing students with preparation and testing services.

The office opening comes as interest in New Zealand as a study destination continues to increase.

“As the world rebounds with a strong interest in international education, New Zealand is re-emerging as a popular destination. IDP is committed to providing ongoing support to students onshore so they can thrive in their studies. This new centre will do so by providing an opportunity for university representatives and service providers to work hand-in-hand with IDP’s trusted counsellors to provide support for students when they need it” said Jane Li, IDP’s Regional Operations Director, Australasia.

The centre was officially opened on Wednesday 27 March by Sahinde Pala, General Manager of Sector Services of Education NZ and Michael James, Director IELTS Operations of IDP.

IDP recently opened a similar space in Canberra, with IDP signalling its commitment to supporting students
