SACE International has announced its latest partnership with the Australia Cambodia Education Academy (AusCam), marking the introduction of South Australian senior secondary education in Cambodia for the first time.

The partnership expands SACE International’s global school network, offering Cambodian students the opportunity to experience a world-class education and a pathway to leading universities in Australia and beyond.

SACE graduates gain a robust qualification that sets them up to thrive and succeed. With a globally recognised certificate, Cambodian students will be well-positioned for placements at leading universities worldwide.

Through this partnership, AusCam, located in Phnom Penh, students can complete the globally recognised SACE qualification alongside the Cambodian high school certificate.

His Excellency Derek Yip, Ambassador of Australia to the Kingdom of Cambodia said of the partnership, “I would like to congratulate both the SACE Board and AusCam for this shared vision of fostering academic achievement and supporting young learners to reach their full potential. This partnership represents the future of education, and I am confident it will offer Cambodian students a pathway to globally recognised qualifications and success.”

The SACE curriculum is designed to prepare students for success in the 21st century. Different from the traditional models, 70% of the final grade for each subject is derived from coursework, projects, and collaborative activities, reducing reliance on a single final examination.

Michaela Bensley, Chief Executive of the SACE Board of South Australia said, “SACE has been taught successfully for more than 40 years internationally across the Asia Pacific region. Over 40,000 SACE International students have graduated since 1982. The SACE qualification is transforming education globally, and we are thrilled to be expanding into Cambodia for the first time.”

“SACE offers a different style of teaching and learning. The curriculum equips students not only with deep academic knowledge but also critical skills for success at university, in their careers, and in life—skills such as adaptability, flexibility, critical thinking, and problem-solving. These life skills help students advance on their journey to higher education and career success, whether in Cambodia, Australia, or beyond.”

Katey Cheang, AusCam Board Member  “AusCam Academy offers a premier Cambodian education, integrating an Australian curriculum with Khmer language, history, traditions, and culture. This ensures an international quality education while preserving national values and identity. We are proud to be the first South Australian Government-accredited school to provide the Australian high school qualification in Cambodia.”

The Koala wishes SACE International and AusCam the very best in delivering SACE to students in Cambodia.
