A call out to each Australian education institution and every alumni professional.

With alumni of well over 2.5m, the Australian international education sector is growing its global community.

Global Citizen is providing a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for 30 young people from the Asia-Pacific region (all expenses paid) to attend their Global Citizen Australian Summit PLUS $5000 to support and further their work.

With Australia’s embedded regional connectivity, here is an opportunity to recognise our outstanding international graduates. Why? Alumni cultivation and recognition sit front and centre of the Chapter 7: Education and skills recommendations in the DFAT Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040.

Haven’t heard or seen Global Citizen? Time to find out here.

CEO and Co-Founder of Global Citizen, Hugh Evans, is an Alumnus of Monash University.

So in March 2024, when ASEAN leaders converge on Melbourne, Global Citizen will bring together influencers, artists, advocates, journalists and policy experts. Along with more than 250 of the brightest young leaders across Australia and the Asia-Pacific, they will take action on climate, innovation and fighting poverty.

Winners of the Youth Leaders Award will travel to Melbourne, Australia’s most diverse city, to attend the provoking and innovative leadership summit. The award includes:

  • $5,000 AUD to support and further their work.
  • All-expense paid return trip to Melbourne (accommodation, flights, transport and other travel expenses)
  • Attendance at Youth Leadership Summit and Music event.
  • Peer led sharing sessions, networking, community building and mentorship from leaders in the industry.
  • Ongoing support and collaboration with Global Citizen, relevant partners and established change makers

Applications are open here until 6th October 2023 at 11:59pm AEST

With so many Australian institutions building diverse alumni communities in the Asia-Pacific, this is a wonderful chance to pay it forward – nominate an inspiring member of your international alumni community.
