2023 IEAA Election: Voting is Open
Share on LinkedinShare on TwitterShare on FacebookShare via Email

In the dynamic landscape of international education, the International Education Association of Australia (IEAA) elections are an influential event on the Australian calendar.

The 2023 election is now live, with candidate statements for the positions of Treasurer, Ordinary Board Members and Network Convenors available here.

This is the opportunity for members to rejuvenate, shape and transform the sector. An influential sector through its outward-facing representation of Australia across the globe.

The 3 nominees for Treasurer and 17 sectoral champions putting their hand up for 3 Board positions demonstrate the sector is in fine shape with a wealth of diverse expertise across candidates.

As Australia’s leading association for international education, IEAA empowers professionals and engages institutions to enhance Australia’s reputation as a provider of world-class education.

With around 3,200 individual members and in excess of 70 organisational members, IEAA is a cross-sectoral network that, importantly, will mark 20 years of service in 2024.

The IEAA election offers a platform for members to voice their views, advocate for change, and ultimately govern and oversee the future course for international education in Australia.

The Koala News wishes all returned serving IEAA Board members and IEAA convenors and election nominees well and the Association every continued success in advocating for the Australian sector nationally and internationally.

Votes can be submitted via IEAA member log in here.

Remember voting closes at the conclusion of the IEAA Annual General Meeting, 1pm ACDT on Thursday 12 October 2023.

Nudge: If you are not a member perhaps now is the time to explore and support the value the Association brings to Australia’s international position. Membership is available here.

Declaration: Trevor Goddard, is an individual IEAA member and served as the IEAA Treasurer for 3 terms and Convenor of the Learning Abroad Network for 1 term.
