As AIEC heads into its final day in Melbourne, IDP Education and the International Education Association of Australia (IEAA) have announced that Canberra will be the host city for the 39th annual Australian International Education Conference (AIEC) in 2025.
Themed “navigating change”, the 2025 conference will bring together delegates from across the international higher education industry as well as government to discuss the ongoing evolution of the sector. AIEC 2025’s program will aim to equip delegates with the tools and knowledge necessary to lead their organisations through ambiguity, fostering resilient and forward-thinking industry professionals.
IDP Chief Executive Officer, Tennealle O’Shannessy, said AIEC 2025 is the industry’s opportunity to rally and champion our students and sector.
“As the global education industry undergoes unprecedented change, AIEC 2025 will undoubtedly serve as an important opportunity to explore how we can collectively embrace new policies, emerging technologies, and the expectations of our students and educators to improve the global education industry,” Ms O’Shannessy said.
IEAA Chief Executive Officer, Phil Honeywood, said IEAA is looking forward to hosting AIEC 2025 alongside IDP Education, providing a space for delegates at all levels of the education ecosystem to build upon the partnerships and connections that continue to shape the global education industry.
“We have a real opportunity at AIEC 2025 to come together to drive our sector forward. What we do motivates people from around the globe to achieve their potential, and it makes our institutions and workplaces stronger. AIEC 2025 will be held at the National Convention Centre Canberra from 14 to17 October 2025.
