The APAIE conference returns to Australia in 2024 and will be hosted in Perth from 4-8 March.
Prof Venky Shankararaman, President of APAIE and Vice Provost (Undergraduate Matters) at Singapore Management University in Singapore, is looking forward to this year’s conference saying, “We are looking forward to APAIE being held in Perth, as it presents an exciting opportunity to collaborate for sustainable impact in higher education, foster international collaborations, and showcase the unique cultural offerings of this vibrant Australian city.”
Host universities include Curtin University, Edith Cowan University, Murdoch University, University of Notre Dame Australia and the University of Western Australia – supported by StudyPerth, the peak body for international education in Western Australia.
CEO of Study Perth, Ms Derryn Belford, said, “ We are very pleased to be working with Western Australia’s five universities to host the prestigious APAIE Conference and Exhibition in Perth in March 2024. This is the first time in 7 years that the annual APAIE conference has been held in Australia.

“At the beginning of each semester, we welcome all new students to Perth through our Airport Welcome Desk in the International Arrivals Hall of Perth Airport. This year our StudyPerth greeters will also be a friendly face at the airport for APAIE delegates arriving for the conference starting on 5 March.” Shae said.
The conference theme, Collaborating for Sustainable Impact: Partnering across the Asia-Pacific, provides speakers with a fantastic platform for developing presentations for APAIE, and there will be a wide range of interesting and informative topics for all delegates.
Perth universities will be hosting campus visits for APAIE delegates on Friday 8 March after the conference, ahead of a range of individual programs planned by each university for their partners the following week.
