We all have ‘that’ creative idea brewing in the depths of our buzzing cortex – the wild concept, idea or project waiting to come to life that will improve community education outcomes.
Edified can help you kickstart it!
Edified Energiser Grants are open to current students and graduates (within the past 5 years) with a compelling idea to transform and uplift education in a community, large or small, anywhere across the globe.
The plan can be small, grand, sit somewhere in the middle, or it may be ‘yet to be decided’ – who knows where it might take you.
Education is transformational – it needs folks with passion, commitment and vision to energise and deliver it.
AUD $5,000 grants will be awarded to individuals or groups presenting an inspiring plan to uplift the capacity of communities by improving their capability for access to education.
The plan could be to become a teacher in your community or build an EdTech platform to deliver free education globally. Either way, make it compelling and display your vision and capability to deliver on your aspirations.
The community you impact is yours to define it. It could be close to home, or across the world. It could be a group defined by their demographics – children in remote areas or adults working in health. It could be a virtual community and naturally must be inclusive, addressing opportunities for all, without exclusion or discrimination.
Edified are global, so applications are open to people of any nationality (domestic and international) currently studying at, or who have graduated within the last 5 years, from an Australian, New Zealand, UK, Irish, Canadian or European Higher Education, Vocational or English Language institution (part-time, online and offshore campuses accepted).
The project can be delivered anywhere in the world. Group applications are encouraged, with only one team member needing to be a student or recent graduate.
5 grants of AUD $5,000 are on offer, in the following categories:
General
A project to improve any type of education – supported by Edified
Community-based learning
A project to improve education through digital or analogue communities – supported by Goin’ Connect

In 2022 each project had at least one student or alumni from an education provider within Australia, NZ, USA, Canada, UK, Ireland or Europe. Check out the 2022 grant recipients here and for further inspiration, track the recipients from 2021 and 2020.
Pay it forward… get this out to your international student communities on Australian campuses, it’s another small yet impactful way to show organisations want to support them.
Start your application here, they close on 15 November 2023
Note: No commercial relationship here. I just love what the initiative stands for and the support it delivers to passionate grassroots activity that will change the face of education services.
