Education company HEX is proud to announce a signed deal to acquire Sydney-based EdTech, EntryLevel. This new partnership is aimed at economically empowering the next generation of learners and professionals worldwide.
HEX and EntryLevel are leveraging their combined strengths to tackle the global employability and skills gap, aligning HEX’s expertise in innovation, entrepreneurship, and global capabilities with EntryLevel’s scalable, industry-led reskilling and upskilling approach. The announcement coincides with the 6th annual International Day of Education, themed “AI and education: Preserving human agency in a world of automation.”

According to a release provided to The Koala, since its founding in 2020, EntryLevel has attracted over 235,000 signups, with people globally choosing to reskill and find meaningful work through their AI-powered platform.

“Joining forces with HEX felt like a natural fit to blend two very complementary models,” he said.
Cheah and Prakash see the opportunity to lead in a fast-moving space. “In a post-AI education world, what we’re seeing in the market is fear and uncertainty,” said Cheah. “Traditional institutions are reacting too slowly, and AI is eroding the value propositions of many EdTech startups, so we have the chance to take a really fresh approach. We’ll be teaching AI literacy in our cross-disciplinary programs and building the AI operating systems we need as a global education provider – while still delivering world-class offline education and building actual human networks.”
This merger also comes alongside renewed support from the Atlassian Foundation, continuing its partnership for a fourth year, and new backing from the Toyota Community Trust, enabling HEX to deliver affordable or free education to students who need it most. “We believe in giving every learner the chance to create generational economic change,” said Cheah. “Working with partners who share that commitment makes all the difference.”
