Applications for the 2026 Australian Export Awards have opened including for the International Education and Training category.

The category recognises outstanding international success across the education and training sector, spanning higher education, vocational education and training (VET), transnational education, online delivery, curriculum development and EdTech.

To be eligible, applicants must meet general criteria including:

  1. being registered in Australia with an active Australian Business Number (ABN)
  2. operating as a separate business if part of a larger organisation
  3. operating legally in Australia and complying with all regulatory requirements
  4. demonstrating appropriate business ethics, including compliance with anti-bribery and modern slavery laws in Australia and overseas
  5. holding relevant insurances and meeting Australian tax obligations

Applications are submitted through the online portal in an applicant’s home state or territory. Winners at the state and territory level progress to the national judging stage, where a national winner is selected in each category.

The winner is announced at the Annual Export Awards National Ceremony at Parliament House in Canberra in late November.

Applications close on 12 June 2026. The awards are administered by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade).

Further information, including the Program Guidelines, is available on the Australian Export Awards website: https://www.exportawards.gov.au/en/apply/about-the-program
