Alice Springs and Darwin have been rated among the top five cultural experiences per capita cities according to Preply, making the NT a great place to visit and live.
The study, conducted by Preply, language specialists offering online English and Spanish classes looked at cultural experiences per capita. The results may surprise you.
The top 5:
- Alice Springs, NT
- Albany, WA
- Wagga Wagga, NSW
- Darwin, NT
- Orange, NSW
Some may say this is not representative of larger cities, but the study clearly looks at per capita cultural experiences, allowing smaller destinations to compete with their big-city rivals.
The NT scores well in this survey. The Koala was fortunate enough to visit the NT recently and was really impressed. It’s easy to see how Darwin makes the list.
In speaking with the Koala, Scott Lovett, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Department of Industry, Tourism and Trade said “We’ve always known that the Northern Territory is one of Australia’s most multicultural destinations, and we welcome international students with open arms. This news from Preply just reinforces the amazing cultural experiences we have on offer here. Museums, festivals and events, concerts, theatres and multicultural cuisines are readily available for students to access, making us Australia’s best destination to begin your study journey.”
“For a list of free events and activities across the Northern Territory please visit www.studynt.nt.gov.au.” he said.
Nice plug.
The Koala congratulates the NT, Alice Springs and Darwin, and the other destinations recognised by this study.
