Curtin College and Curtin University have marked a major milestone—25 years of collaboration that has helped more than 14,000 students, both domestic and international, take their first steps into higher education.
The long-standing partnership, underpinned by global education provider Navitas, was celebrated at a special event held at the Curtin Graduate Business School in Perth. Attendees included senior university leaders and alumni, recognising the impact of the pathway programs launched in 2000 to provide equitable access to university for students from diverse backgrounds.
“This partnership is a powerful example of how we can create meaningful pathways that not only lead to qualifications, but change lives,” said Navitas Group CEO Scott Jones.
The event shone a spotlight on alumni like Diem Quynh Pham (Vietnam), who completed a Diploma of Commerce before earning Curtin’s Vice Chancellor’s Award, and Vishwa Patel (India), a former WA International Tertiary Student of the Year. These stories reflect the far-reaching influence of the Navitas-Curtin model, which continues to prepare students for academic and professional success worldwide.
To honour the people behind the success, Curtin College also held a staff appreciation event recognising long-serving team members such as Lea Marlow (24 years), Stephen Joyce (20 years), and Eleonora Laslo (18 years).
Looking ahead, Curtin College and Navitas reaffirmed their shared commitment to inclusive, student-first education that meets the needs of a rapidly changing world.
“We look forward to continuing this journey—with our students, our partners, and our people—well into the future,” said Quentin Derrick, Curtin College Director and Principal.
