Gold Coast Provides 250 $1000 grants to international student to start their experience

Experience Gold Coast has recently announced a new student grant program. The Gold Coast New Student Grants program will offer 250 International Students choosing the Gold Coast to study a grant of $1000  to help them settle into their new surroundings and life on the Gold Coast.

The Experience Gold Coast website states “Whether it’s for textbooks, accommodation, or everyday expenses, this grant can ease the cost pressure of starting a journey in a new country. It’s our commitment to welcoming new international students. With a vibrant culture, facilities and excellent educational institutions, the Gold Coast is an ideal destination for all students.

Eligibility Criteria

The first 250 international students who meet the following criteria and complete verification will be eligible:

  • Hold a valid Student Visa (subclass 500) and enrol at an Experience Gold Coast Education Member Institution for at least 24 academic weeks (including packaged offers/multiple courses).
  • Be a new student with a course commencement date between 1 May – 30 November 2025.
  • Submit all required documents as per the Gold Coast New Student Grants’ conditions (view full terms and conditions here).

Not eligible:

  • Domestic students.
  • International students already enrolled at an Australian institution.
  • International students currently residing in Australia.

Applications open: 11 February – 30 June 2025 (subject to early closure if the quota is met).
